Sabine

I have been living and working in Valencia for fifteen years. I help you with everything you need when you want to come and live in Valencia. From applying for a residency permit to registering with the city council to organising and translating at a doctors appointment. As half Valencian, half Dutch I can switch between the two languages and cultures no problem. I help you on your way to start your new life here, and also with everything you may need assistance with once you are settled.

Sabine’s top tip: Valencia is, of course, a great place for eating out, but don’t forget to also check out the amazing local products of great quality on the market, such as fruits and vegetables. You can go shopping at Mercado Central, but I prefer going to Mercado de Ruzafa myself. It is quieter, cheaper and a lot less touristic! I also love visiting the mountains in summer with my family to escape the city and the heat. A beautiful area is Mijares, near Yátova, where you can go on some lovely walks. You can even take a boat from Cofrentes to Cortes de Pallas and swim in the river. Gorgeous!

For me it was love at first sight when I arrived in Valencia twelve years ago from the Netherlands. I am your point of contact during house viewings, I accompany you during registration with the city council, I help you to open a bank account and to arrange
insurances. In addition, I am also available to support you with starting up your business in Valencia, organising all formalities and operational activities and to make the connections with the Spanish authorities.

Fleur’s top tip: Read my travel guide ‘Time to Momo Valencia’ and ‘Valencia, hoogtepunten uit stad en regio’ (Dutch only) as a little taster! I would also love to take you on a guided tour through our beautiful city, on foot or bike. It’s the perfect introduction for
every new arrival!

I am an English speaking Spanish lawyer who graduated at the University of Valencia but have worked in England for 4 years.

I therefore completely understand the feeling of being a foreigner. That is why I empathise with our clients, helping them to get settled in Spain and paving the way for them setting up their business or buying property. I make sure all processes are legal, safe and smooth, so our clients will love our city as soon as they arrive.

Maria

I was born in Valencia but have lived in the US, Ireland, England, Italy and Belgium, as well as other cities in Spain such as Barcelona and Madrid However, my favourite place to live is Valencia and that is why I finally decided to settle down here. It has a unique brightness, the weather is lovely, and the people are so friendly and warm. It is a city of opportunities and full of history and cultural diversity. I studies Business Administration at the University of Valencia, and also have a BA degree in Business and Languages from the University of Wolverhampton in England and an MBA from IE (Instituto de Empresa) in Madrid. I provide foreigners and Spanish citizens with tax and accounting advice, according to their needs and our laws.

Maria’s top tip: After a week of working my favourite place to go is the Marina Real in the Port and enjoy a tasty rice dish with lobster. My favourite!

Julian

Languages spoken: Dutch, Spanish, English

Hola, I am Julian and I was born in The Hague (NL).

I studied social work in the Netherlands, because I am passionate about helping and guiding people.

I became interested in real estate during my internship at a housing corporation in Limburg (NL).

Due to this I feel I can combine my two passions and bring them to Match Better Valencia.

I can now happily say that I live and work in Valencia with great pleasure. I would be glad to help you find your dream home in Spain.

I currently plan the appointments with the estate agents for Match Better Valencia and assist you with the viewings.

I also offer assistance to ensure that the formalities necessary to live and work in Spain can be arranged smoothly.

Nos vemos en Valencia!

Nathali

Languages spoken: Dutch, English, German, Spanish

My name is Nathali and living in Valencia with my family since August 2020.
We have left busy Amsterdam and choose to live in amore quiet place just outside of Valencia. But still close enough to the bustling city of Valencia.
During our first visit, after we have been to more cities in Spain, we felt as if we were coming home. It felt like the right place to be.

Already 13 years I run my interior design studio ‘House for Interior’ with love and passion.
I am the one that can help you with making your property in Valencia homely. If you are building or renovating or your home needs a make-over, you have come to the right place.
Designing an interior for me will never be standard, I would love to surprise you.

In the meantime I have discovered where you can find nice interior items and my senses are always very sensitive to find more.

Nathali’s top tip: In and about Valencia you will find the Rastros, kind of a flee market. This is the place to be to score your jewels. There is only one little disadvantage, you need to get up early, otherwise you will miss out on the best treasures.

Suzanne

Languages spoken: Dutch, Spanish, English

My name is Suzanne and I have been living in Valencia for 9 years now. Love brought me here and now we live with our two young children in the Albufera nature reserve near El Saler. Valencia is a beautiful city with a high quality of life.

At Match Better Valencia I will guide you in finding a beautiful home. I will help you make the appointments, guide you during viewings and also help with all the formalities that come with this so that this goes as smoothly as possible. I can also give advice when looking for schools!

Tip:
Take a day trip to the Albufera nature reserve south of Valencia. If you want to get out of the city for a while, this is the perfect place to recharge your batteries close to home! You can get there in no time by car or bus, but an hour by bike is also a great way to get there.
You can take a tour on a boat from the Embarcadero Albufera. During the sunset it is beautiful! I also recommend eating paella at one of the many restaurants in El Palmar. You can also take a nice walk through La Devesa.

Marja

Hola! I am Marja and since 2003 I live and work in Valencia. When I was working as a school manager at an international language institute, I was often asked by people how they could also move here. This gave me the idea to start Match Better Valencia. Since
2010 we support everyone who falls in love with this beautiful city, just like me, and who wishes to enjoy its laid-back lifestyle. Welcome to Valencia!

Still some doubts?
